We opened our display of Asian Dolls at the Tigard Public Library Lobby on May 1, 2024 to celebrate Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific (AANHPI) Heritage Month. This collection features dolls from China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singagpore, Myanmar, and Nepal. It is a selection from the Mockford family doll collection which was primarily gathered over many decades by Great Aunt Marion {Kline) who lived to be nearly 103 years old and passed her collection of dolls from around the world to us in 2014. We also have been fortunate to have been gifted dolls from friends during our own travels.
